In this edition of Insight into Art, our art educator will deepen your understanding of Vilhelm Lundstrøm's artistic development and significance. Drawing on the museum's extensive collection, we examine the many shifts and experiments that characterize his career—from early cubist collages to structured compositions, the monumental blue period, and vibrant color works. You will be introduced to Lundstrøm as an artist in constant motion, who throughout his life insisted on renewal and forging his own path. At the same time, we explore how his work with form, color, and composition helped shape Danish modernism—and why his art remains both consistent and recognizable across periods. No prior art knowledge is required to participate—just curiosity.
